Understand the settings

The builder produces a straightforward document from your own information. It does not invent qualifications or score your suitability for a job. Start with the role you want, then choose experience and skills that demonstrate relevant work. A short, specific description is usually more useful than a list of flattering adjectives.

Use the headline for your target role or professional focus. Put only the contact details you want recipients to see in the contact line. A city, email and phone may be enough; a full street address is optional. The summary is optional too. Leaving it empty removes the section rather than filling the page with placeholder text.

Each work entry has a title, employer, dates and achievements. Put one achievement on each line; the preview turns these into bullets. Describe something you did and, when you can verify it, the scale or outcome. “Trained two new colleagues on order checks” gives a reader more information than “excellent team player.” Do not add made-up numbers to sound more impressive.

The preview uses plain text and a simple layout. That makes the exported document easier to inspect, but does not guarantee compatibility with every applicant-tracking system. Check the employer’s requested format. The browser’s print-to-PDF feature creates a PDF; this tool does not produce a Word document.

Step by step

  1. Fill in your name, contact information and relevant skills.
  2. Add one work entry per role. Use Remove this entry for unused blocks. Add education and optional projects or certifications.
  3. Choose Update preview and check spelling, dates and page length.
  4. Download an editable JSON draft before leaving the page. Store it privately because it contains your contact and employment details.
  5. Choose Print / save PDF. In the browser dialog, select a suitable paper size, disable browser headers and footers, and inspect all pages before saving.

Turn a duty into a concrete bullet

Instead of “Responsible for deliveries,” write a factual description such as “Checked orders against receipts and resolved delivery-address issues with customers.” If you know an accurate measurable result, add it; otherwise leave numbers out.

Troubleshooting

My edits disappeared

The builder does not autosave. Restore a previously downloaded JSON draft. A PDF is a final presentation, not an editable builder draft.

The PDF has the website title or address on it

Turn off browser headers and footers in the print dialog. The site’s navigation and help panels are hidden by print styles.

There is an awkward page break

Shorten a long paragraph, remove an empty entry, or adjust paper size/margins in the print dialog. Always inspect the resulting PDF.
