Text Tools

Inspect text size or clean up a line-based list. Transformations appear in a separate result box so you can compare them with the original.

Runs locally in your browser. This tool does not upload your input or save it in browser storage.

Clean a list without losing track of changes

Load the example and remove duplicate lines: the second apple is removed, while the original order of the other entries is kept. The comparison is exact and case-sensitive, so Apple and apple remain separate. Spaces are significant until you trim them.

To chain operations, copy a result back into the source box. Line operations normalize Windows CRLF and older CR endings to LF. A trailing newline contributes an empty final line.

Why character and byte counts differ

In UTF-8, A takes one byte and é takes two. An emoji or a combined accent can contain multiple Unicode code points even when it looks like one symbol. The counter reports code points, not displayed glyphs. Word counts use the browser’s language-aware segmentation where available, with a whitespace-based fallback.
